Cheltenham 2025 Betting Expert Insights
Cheltenham Festival betting expert Anthony Eadson suggests that a strong start begins with the first race on Day 1. "Many bookmakers, including William Hill, offer highly generous each-way places on the opening race of the Festival. In the past decade, only one winner of the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle has been priced above 9/1, so backing a higher-priced runner to secure an extra place can often be rewarding." Bookmakers also provide a daily ‘Super Boost’ on a selected horse, typically in the day’s feature race or on a short-priced favourite. "For example, several firms may boost Constitution Hill’s odds on Tuesday. If you see an offer at even money or better, it’s worth considering," Eadson advises.
Racing expert Anton also highlights the value of accumulator bets. "Don’t overlook accas during Cheltenham. Some bookmakers offer Acca Insurance, giving you a free bet refund if one leg fails. With 12 of the 28 races in 2022 won by favourites, combining a few leading contenders is a popular and potentially profitable approach for punters."
